New Generation DAF XF Electric
More and more European municipalities are announcing that, in the future, only zero-emission vehicles will be allowed on inner-city roads. As a result, fully electric trucks will become a must for transport companies operating in urban areas. The New Generation DAF XF can be fitted with a fully electric PACCAR e-powertrain enabling you to meet new regulations and contribute to healthier cities. PACCAR e-powertrains have been fully tested and consist of efficient and reliable e-motors in combination with a choice of powerful battery packs for tailor-made ranges. This offers highest flexibility and makes the DAF XF Electric into the best possible solution for ‘zero emission’ distribution and vocational applications.

The advanced DAF XF Electric trucks are powered by the efficient and reliable PACCAR EX-D2 permanent magnet e-motors, which offer outputs from 270 kW/370 hp to 350 kW/480 hp. To perfectly tailor these electric vehicles to your needs and application, a full range of battery packs is available, resulting in ‘zero emission’ ranges of almost 500 kilometers on a single charge.

The advanced DAF XD Electric trucks are powered by the efficient and reliable PACCAR EX-D1 and PACCAR EX-D2 permanent magnet e-motors, which offer outputs from 170 kW/230 hp to 350 kW/480 hp. To perfectly tailor these electric vehicles to your needs and application, a full range of battery packs is available, resulting in ‘zero emission’ ranges of over 500 kilometers on a single charge. As a result, through optimal vehicle and charging planning, the trucks can even realize an impressive 1,000 fully electric kilometers per day.

Fast DC charging standard, AC charging optional
The New Generation XD Electric can be fast charged with powers up to 325 kW, allowing to boost a 3-string battery pack in just over 45 minutes from 0 to 80% of its capacity. Even the largest battery pack can be fully charged from empty to 100% in less than 2 hours.
Optional is an on-board charger with the capability of AC current charging of up to 22 kW. This provides highest flexibility to operate the vehicle, even in remote areas.
Supporting your transition to electric driving
Our DAF dealers support you with tailor-made sales advice based on advanced route simulation models for a smooth conversion to zero emission e-trucks. Furthermore, they offer operational support through a full array of premium PACCAR Chargers, perfectly tuned to the new XD Electric trucks.
The comprehensive range includes fixed charging solutions with powers up to 50 kW using standard AC current and up to 350 kW for ultra-fast DC charging. In addition, there are also mobile chargers available, providing maximum flexibility.
New Generation XB
DAF expands its ‘zero emission’ product offering with the new DAF XB Electric. Turning to XB Electric is the right choice to further limit carbon emissions. The DAF XB Electric encompasses the best-in-class driver comfort, drivability, efficiency and safety features as the XB diesel version. The new DAF XB Electric is perfectly suited for sustainable inner-city and regional distribution. Next to 16 and 19 tonnes versions, a 12 tonnes version with 17.5” wheels and only one entry step is available. Wheelbases start from 4.2 meters.
Ranges up to 350 kilometres
The e-motor of the XB Electric provides 120 or 190 kW of nominal power depending of the specification and a nominal torque of 950 and 1.850 Nm respectively (2.600 and 3.500 Nm peak). For the lowest possible environmental impact and highest durability, DAF applies a cobalt and magnesium-free, lithium iron phosphate (LFP – Lithium Ferro Phosphate) high energy battery packs with a gross energy content of 141 up to 282 kWh. These allow XB Electric ranges of up to 350 ultra-quiet and ‘zero emission’ kilometres; more than enough for the needs of urban distribution transport operators.
Fast and slow charging
A special feature of the new DAF XB Electric is the ‘Combined Charging System’. This allows the truck to be charged through the regular electricity network and is ideal when the truck returns to the home base at the end of the day. Rapid charging the batteries (650V DC, 150 kW) from 20% to 80% will only take 40 to 70 minutes, depending on the specification.

The DAF XB cabs all have perfectly positioned entry steps, wide-opening doors and a low cab position for outstanding accessibility. The comfortable seats feature the same soft-woven upholstery as the DAF XD, XF, XG and XG+ trucks, with which the XB also shares the high level of fit and finish, the new steering wheel and the eye-catching 12-inch digital display on the dashboard.
Excellent Bodybuilder-Friendliness
The chassis of the XB Electric features an optimal grid pattern for excellent bodybuilder-friendliness. To power superstructures, cranes and for instance cooling equipment, the XB Electric can be configured with a 25 or 90 kW DC electric power take-off (E-PTO). For certain applications one side can be kept free of high voltage batteries.
Outstanding Direct Vision
Outstanding direct vision is realized by the low cab positioning, the large windscreen and side windows and their low window belt lines. As an option, a Kerb View Window is available for an unobstructed view on other road users on the co-driver’s side. The slim design of the new mirrors allow for the perfect combination of direct and indirect view.
Highest Payloads
Low kerb weights result in highest payloads for optimal return per kilometre. The XB Electric is the first electric medium duty truck in the industry available in a 12 tonnes GVM configuration. To perfectly tailor the truck to your needs, wheelbases range up to 6.9 m and chassis lengths allow over 9 metres superstructures.

DAF Turn Assist
DAF Turn Assist notices cyclists or pedestrians when the vehicle is making a turn. At higher speeds the system alerts the driver when motorcycles or cars are in the blind zone when changing lanes or merging. DAF Turn Assist applies visual and audible warnings, even in poor visibility conditions
DAF Drowsiness Detection
Assesses the driver's alertness and warns when a break is needed
Speed Limit Recognition
Informs the driver about actual speed limits
Lane Departure Warning
The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) warns the driver if the vehicle begins to move out of the lane as a result of driver error, drowsiness or distraction

As part of its full ‘zero emission’ service offering, DAF provides a full range of high-end solutions to charge the batteries. These include mobile chargers with power levels from 24 kW up to 40 kW to provide maximum flexibility. Fixed charging stations are available with power levels from 20 kW up to 360 kW, of which the latter represents an ultra-fast solution that can charge vehicles at full rated power in less than two hours or fast charge two vehicles simultaneously.
