HGV Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join our professional and friendly team at Greenhous DAF Shrewsbury.

Working Hours: Alternating Shifts, i.e. 39 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid).

• Week 1, Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 3.30pm, Friday, 7.00am to 2.30pm.
• Week 2, Monday 2.00pm to 11.00pm, Tuesday to Thursday, 2.30pm to 10.30pm, Friday 2.00pm to 10.30pm, Saturday 8.00am to 1.00pm (paid as overtime)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose faults using the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
• A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
